Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time Rated In Taiwan, No Switch Version In Sight So Far

Had a blast with Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on Switch? Well, it looks like the original trio of adventures will finally be getting its next numbered entry after more than two decades!

The Digital Game Rating Committee of Taiwan has posted what appears to be a listing for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time on PS4 and Xbox One, along with the box art you see above. Series publisher Activision hasn’t even made an official announcement about this title at all – but this listing is a pretty strong confirmation that the game is approaching an official reveal or release very soon.

A brief synopsis accompanies the rating:

“Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.”

Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be a rating for any kind of Switch version so far. However, the release of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on Switch was similarly staggered by a full year after it first launched on PS4 and Xbox One – so a similar arrangement might be in the works here.

We’ll report back if the game gets a listing for Nintendo Switch in the future. Stay tuned.
