26 years after its original release, fans have uncovered some long lost footage from the original Super Mario Bros Movie.
The discovery was shared on Twitter by the Super Mario Bros Movie Archive, a fansite dedicated to documenting everything they can about the famous videogame adaptation film. According to the tweet, the site is now in possession of a VHS Tape apparently containing a bunch of cut footage from the movie.
Given the film’s cult status, this is an extremely exciting discovery for fans of videogames and movies alike. We look forward to seeing what the tape has in store, if and when its contents are made available to the public.
