Although its already been over a year since the title’s release, it appears gamers can’t get enough of hit indie roguelike platformer Dead Cells.
Speaking to Destructoid at Pax West, Motion Twin’s Steve Filby shared that Dead Cells has reached 2.4 million copies worth of sales on all platforms. Just four months ago, it was sitting at around 2 million, meaning its been moving 100,000 copies per month since then. If Filby’s comment on the situation is to be believed, it may be thanks to the Nintendo Switch:
Fibly: “Into 2019, it’s still selling incredibly well. We’re up to 2.4 million copies now, all platforms included. Switch is insane, it’s completely ridiculous. The game really lends itself to that portable, one-more-run [style].”
