As many readers will know, we’ve seen our fair share of smaller companies attempt to emulate the unique design of Nintendo’s Switch console – introducing their own tablets with detachable controllers. Well, it looks like one of the bigger industry players might finally be entering the ring too!
At CES 2020, Dell showed off its Alienware ‘Concept UFO’ – a hypothetical portable PC that heavily resembles Nintendo Switch. The console even includes left/right detachable controllers with charging rails and a connective piece to form a standalone controller with both halves, so the resemblance isn’t just surface deep! Here are some pictures:
We should note that Dell has not confirmed if this device will actually make it to the consumer market. For now, this appears to just be a little experiment of theirs.
What do you think? Does this ‘Concept UFO’ come a bit too close to the Nintendo Switch? Would you get one if it hit the market? Feel free to share your thoughts below!
