As reported previously, the digital home release of the Detective Pikachu movie is launching today on July 23rd for various online movie retailers. However, it seems that this not only includes your typical outlets like iTunes and Google, but also…the Playstation Store?
This discovery was brought to our notice by Twitter user SegaUbi, who posted the following Tweet showing that the Detective Pikachu film was seemingly available for purchase via the Playstation Store. A quick trip to the web version of the store verifies the claim as true, as Detective Pikachu is indeed featured in the “new movies” section.
It’s not Pokemon Sword & Shield, but it seems that Playstation 4 owners can finally claim that they’ve got Pokemon on the console, in a manner of speaking of course.
