Did You Know Gaming Explores The History Of Pokemon-Inspired Bootlegs And Rip-Offs

With its worldwide popularity, its no surprise that many have tried to emulate and recreate the massive appeal of the Pokemon series in their own videogames – with some attempts looking a little too similar for comfort. We’ve already seen this in spades for the Legend of Zelda and Super Mario franchises, and now here’s a peek at how some developers/publishers took way too much inspiration from the popular monster-collecting games!

Check it out below:

“We take a look at some BOLD cases of plagiarism that rip-off the Pokemon franchise. We cover everything from competing Game Boy games, books, and of course, foreign bootlegs.”
