Did You Know Gaming Explores The History Of Super Mario Knock-Offs And Plagiarism

Given Nintendo’s prominence, it should come as no surprise that many developers (willfully or unintentionally) rip-off the company’s IP for their own indie developments. We’ve already seen this in spades for the Legend of Zelda series, and now here’s a peek at the plagiarism woes of Super Mario!

Did You Know Gaming has released a new video that examines various degrees of plagiarism that plagued the Super Mario IP. From sharing too many similarities with Mario Kart Wii to straight-up using 3D Yoshi models, many of these attempts to rip off the world-renown plumber and his friends were certainly quite brazen at times!
