The success of the Nintendo Switch has attracted over 300 third party and independent companies to work on new software titles for the system.
Electronic Arts, however, has decided not to board the Nintendo Switch train for the time being. Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, EA financial chief Blake Jorgensen told the paper the company is waiting until the first Nintendo Switch year is over (on March 2, 2018) before deciding to make more games for the platform.
So far the company has only released FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch, which launched in September 2017. Jorgensen says it’s “too soon” to judge the success of FIFA 18 Switch, and wants to wait a little longer to understand the full demand for the system before bringing more games to it.
