Nintendo of Europe has announced Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver will be getting “shiny packaged versions” at retail on September 22, 2017.
Each box will contain a downloadable code for either Pokemon Gold or Pokemon Silver.
Currently there’s no word on the pricing of the packaged version, and it’s unclear whether it will come with the same goodies that Japan is getting.
This makes North America the last major territory awaiting confirmation for a physical box release of the Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver Virtual Console releases on Nintendo 3DS. We’ll ask The Pokemon Company for comment.
