A few days ago, we reported receiving first hand information of Ubisoft planning to reduce the price of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle from USD59.99 to USD49.99.
We’ve now received two pieces of evidence indicating a price reduction is happening in two different countries for the title.
The first retailer is Amazon Mexico. The pre-order price of the game has been reduced from MXN1399 (USD78) to MXN1039 (USD58). According to Redditor McCafecito, MXN1399 is the standard price for a third party USD59.99 game in Mexico. Video game prices in Mexico are usually inflated by 10 to 20 dollars.
With a price cut of MXN360, this puts the title close to the USD49.99 price range for video games in Mexico.
The second retailer is ABXY, which is based in Singapore. According to a post on their Facebook page, the game has received a price drop from SGD76 (USD56) to SGD68 (USD50), indicating another reduction to USD49.99.
With a price reduction happening in two different countries, it’s certain Ubisoft has plans to reduce the price for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Now, we’ll have to wait for their official confirmation on this happening in major markets such as North America and Europe.
