It looks another fun and fresh new Pokemon mascot has made its public debut!
During today’s reveal of the upcoming Pokemon Fossil Museum traveling exhibit in Japan, a special “Excavation Pikachu” mascot also made a first-time appearance to promote the initiative. As you can see, the mascot itself is a Pikachu dressed in paleontology attire – and it even has a tiny fossil on its hat!
Check out various photos and a video below:
As reported previously, the Pokemon Fossil Museum exhibition will aim to teach visitors about paleontology by combining real life fossils with various fossil Pokemon featured in the games. It will debut on July 4th at the Mikasa City Museum in Hokkaido, where it will remain until September 20th 2021. After that, the exhibit will move to Shimane, then Tokyo, and finally Aichi. Currently, it’s not known if this unique Pikachu mascot will make another public appearance in the future. We’ll report back if we hear more.
