Similar to every other first party Nintendo Switch game, Nintendo has made full use of the inner cover art that comes with every physical copy of Kirby Star Allies.

When players open the game case, they will find instructions teaching beginners how to play the game with a pair of Joy-Con. The same control scheme applies to the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
