The Pokemon Company has shared the first details for Pokemon Legends Z-A’s Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch physical releases for Japan, scheduled to launch on October 16, 2025.
The physical version of the game will launch on Game Cards on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. Prices are as follows (inclusive 10% consumption tax):
Pokemon Legends Z-A (Switch) – 7,128 yen (physical) / 7,100 yen (digital)
Pokemon Legends Z-A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – 8,128 yen (physical) / 8,100 yen (digital)
Pre-orders for the physical version are scheduled to begin on July 23, 2025 (the day after the next Pokemon Presents), and the digital version can be pre-ordered from June 5, 2025.
Keep in mind that the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack for the game costs 1,000 yen, which is equivalent to the price difference between the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and the base game. The Upgrade Pack brings performance upgrades and higher visual quality.
