In September 2017, Nintendo announced the closure of Flipnote Studio 3D’s Flipnote Gallery: World service in Japan. Flipnote Gallery: World was an online service that enabled users to share their Flipnotes with other creators.
Sales for the passes required to access Flipnote Gallery: World service were stopped in October 2017, in preparation for the closure of the service.
On April 2, 2018 at 10am Japan Time, the Flipnote Gallery: World service ceased in Japan, making it no longer accessible to users.
The closure of Flipnote Gallery: World does not affect the Flipnote Studio 3D application, which is still available to download in Japan. Neither does it affect players in the west, as Flipnote Gallery: World was never released in the western version.
