The Entertainment Software Association (ESA), the former hosts of E3, have announced a new industry event.
The event will be titled “Iicon” (Interactive Innovation Conference) and is meant to “connect visionaries, thought leaders and innovators from across industries to harness the power of interactive entertainment”. It will be held from April 27th to April 30th 2025, and will give attendees access to “visionary keynotes, engaging discussions and workshops, and elite networking opportunities with executives shaping the future of entertainment, business and technology”.
So far, the following companies have been confirmed to attend, including Nintendo of America:
- Amazon Games
- Disney
- Electronic Arts
- Epic Games
- Microsoft
- Nintendo of America
- Sony Interactive Entertainment
- Square Enix
- Take-Two Interactive
- Ubisoft
- Warner Bros. Games
Attendance is by invite only, and it is not known if there will be any publicly available presentations like those featured at E3. Once the premier gaming event of the year, E3 was officially shut down by the ESA back in 2023, after a string of failed and cancelled events following the COVID-19 pandemic.
