Former Square-Enix Manager Arrested For Reselling Stolen Nintendo 3DS Systems

Koji Takada, who used to work as a sales manager at Square-Enix, was arrested for ordering video game systems on behalf of the company to resell for his personal profit.

According to a report by Jiji Press, Takada would deceptively purchase Nintendo 3DS systems when making contracts with clients, telling the company that the hardware was necessary. He’d allegedly resell the Nintendo 3DS systems for his own personal profit, resulting in a loss of 1.4 million yen (USD12,374) to Square-Enix.

It has been reported that this occurred between November 2011 to September 2013. Square-Enix formally brought charges against Takada for violating Japanese trust law in December 2015.

What do you think of Takada’s actions? Let us know in the comments below.
