Nintendo has announced that several Switch 1 games will receive free updates on Switch 2.
Unlike the paid Nintendo Switch 2 Editions, these updates will apparently be completely free, and “may improve performance or add support for features such as GameShare in select games”. Among the listed games to receive these updates is Pokemon Scarlet And Violet, which were notorious for having persistant performance issues years after their launch.
