Nikkei has published an interview with Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa about the company’s entry into China.
Furukawa briefly shared their short term and long term plans for the Chinese market. First, Furukawa said they are hoping to release Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in January 2020 in China, and after that, more titles from other third parties through Tencent.
As for the hardware side of things, Nintendo is considering to release the Nintendo Switch Lite in China, but have nothing to announce at this time.
