Before the official reveal of the Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Switch OLED, leaks of the upcoming device were spread online early, one of which came from a Reddit post with a picture of GameStop’s internal release listings. However, it looks like the one responsible is now facing the consequences of their actions.
Apparently, the GameStop employee that uploaded the picture was confronted by their supervisors on April 5th and informed that he would be suspended due to violating company policy. A few days later on April 11th, said employee was terminated from GameStop for good. Moreover, people close to the situation have said that Nintendo themselves were pushing GameStop to fire the employee – although this information has yet to be confirmed by Nintendo.
