Guide: How To Catch And Evolve All New Basic Pokemon In Pokemon Scarlet/Violet

As with all new games in a generation, Pokemon Scarlet And Violet introduces a number of brand new Pokemon to the series for players to catch and raise.

Compared to previous Pokemon games, Scarlet And Violet include a number of quality of life features to help players seek out new monsters. Including the following:

  • Whether you have seen the Pokemon before or not, its unfilled page on the Pokedex gives players hints about where the Pokemon can be found.
    • Just search for its Dex Number, and if it can be found in the Wild, this will be shown on the Dex page map.
    • The full list of Regional Dex numbers can be found here: https://pastebin.com/HGsqC6n4
  • Attending classes at the Academy can give hints about locations and evolution methods.
  • Most regular Wild Pokemon spawn according to biomes instead of specific routes or places, meaning that any part of the map which matches that biome can potentially spawn that Pokemon.

However, if you wish to skip the exploration and find a specific new Pokemon, read on below the Spoiler Warning. This guide may be updated from time to time as people discover more information about the games.
