Guide: How To Catch Spiritomb In Pokemon Legends Arceus

In Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, as well as its remakes, Spiritomb is one of the most difficult Pokemon to find and capture, requiring players to fulfill very specific special requirements in order to find it.

In Pokemon Legends Arceus, the requirements to capture Spiritomb are a lot more straightforward, but no less challenging to complete. You can find an explanation of what this quest entails below, after the spoiler warning.

Upon progressing past a specific point in the main story, the player will be approached by a girl named Vessa, who requests that they assist her in gathering a collection of 108 wisps to seal away an ancient evil. This ancient evil is none other than Spiritomb, with the quest itself harkening back to the lore of its original Pokedex entry.

107 of these wisps are scatterred all across the Hisui Region, with some of them even hiding within Jubilife Village. The wisps glow purple, meaning that they are very easy to spot during the night. A useful strategy is to rest at a camp till nighttime, then fly around using the Braviary Ride Pokemon to hunt for the wisps. Alternatively, Pokemon fansite Serebii has compiled a full list of all wisp locations, which can be found here.

Speaking to Vessa will have her explain how many wisps the player has left to find in each area. For every 10 wisps found, Vessa will also give the player certain rewards:

Oval Stone 5 Wisps
Rare Candy 10 Wisps
Seed of Mastery 20 Wisps
Dusk Stone 30 Wisps
Exp. Candy L 40 Wisps
Linking Cord 50 Wisps
5 Grit Pebbles 60 Wisps
Reaper Cloth 70 Wisps
3 Seed of Mastery 80 Wisps
2 Exp. Candy XL 90 Wisps
3 Grit Rock 100 Wisps

After 107 of the wisps have been located, players can speak to Vessa again at the Shrouded Ruins in the Crimson Mirelands at night. She will give the player the final 108th wisp, which will trigger a battle with a Level 60 Spiritomb.
