On September 23, 1889, Nintendo was founded by Fusajiro Yamauchi, an enterprising Japanese businessman who strived to make the best Hanafuda cards in the world.
128 years later, Nintendo has evolved into one of the biggest and most successful video game companies in the world. It owns world famous IPs such as Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Pokemon. Nintendo also created the best video game systems the world has ever seen, such as the Wii, Nintendo Entertainment System, and Nintendo Switch.
