Previously, Nintendo fans finally got a first glimpse of Dragon Quest XI S in a new debut trailer. Some, however, might be wondering how this Switch port will stack up graphically to the original PS4 release.
Thanks to a ResetEra thread, we now have some useful screenshots of the PS4 version for comparison with the trailer. You’ll generally notice that the PS4 version (top) has more complex lighting than the Switch trailer (bottom) – but otherwise the downgrade isn’t too crazy, so far!
From the looks of it, Square Enix is working hard to accommodate the Switch’s lower prowess. Hopefully we can also get a proper preview of gameplay footage outside cut-scenes soon.
