Psyonix has released a preview of the upcoming Tournament Update coming to Rocket League for Nintendo Switch on April 3, 2018.
As we reported earlier, the update will allow users to choose between two video quality settings – Performance or Quality. Performance sets the game’s frame rate at a steady 60 fps (at the expense of image quality), while quality sets brings up Rocket League’s resolution to 1080p in TV Mode and 720p in Handheld Mode (at the expense of frame rate).

Quality Mode also enables several graphics features automatically, such as Lens Flares, Light Shafts, Dynamic Shadows and Depth of Field.
The setting will be adjustable in the “Video Quality” menu:
Besides the addition of Quality and Performance modes, native video capture support will be added to Rocket League in the Tournament Update, allowing users to record up to 30 seconds of gameplay footage when the Capture Button is pressed and held for a few seconds.
