Now you can imagine it a little better, thanks to Reddit user adamashbaker. By using a 10x macro zoom, they were able to capture the texture of these exclusive controllers. As it turns out, it’s not just a cardboard-like print – and the Joy-Cons look rough!

adamashbaker even described their experience of holding the Joy-Con:

It almost feels like a very very fine piece of sandpaper, but it’s not uncomfortable at all, just gives it a better grip in the hand.

If only Nintendo had produced these for the public to purchase! We’re sure many collectors would be interested in this unique outer-shell!
