Last month, Super Nintendo World finally opened at Universal Studios Hollywood, allowing fans in the west to finally experience the Nintendo theme park, including meeting Mario, Luigi, and other Mushroom Kingdom mainstays.
If you were curious about how these mascot characters are like in person, Youtuber @Valiantes has posted a short video showing them off in action. The video shows off the Hollywood mascots’ ability blink and speak with pre-recorded voicelines, same as the Japanese mascots. We also get a peek behind the curtain, revealing that a hidden staff member monitors the mascots from the side, using a touchpad to play the appropriate voicelines.
