Splatoon 2 is off to a great start in Japan, and Famitsu has got us covered with a bunch of photos directly from Bic Camera Akiba on July 21st, the day of the game’s release in Japan.
According to Famitsu, over 2000 people lined up outside Bic Camera Akiba at 8 in the morning to win a chance of purchasing the highly sought after Nintendo Switch console. The Nintendo Switch Splatoon 2 Bundle was also available for the first time in the raffle.
Sales of the Splatoon 2 Pro Controller, amiibo, Joy-Con, and other accessories begun at 10am.
At 11am in the morning, the staff at Bic Camera Akiba announced the results for the Nintendo Switch Splatoon 2 Bundle raffle. There were many happy faces.
Although it was a working day, one would see many adults and kids at the store, which is highly unusual as they should either be in school or at work!
There was a good mix of children, teenagers, and adults purchasing Splatoon 2 and the Nintendo Switch – showing how the game is literally for everyone.
