Fans will have a remain patient for more Blaster Master Zero action, it seems.
In a recent interview with Inti Creates’ Matt Papa, Miketendo64 explored many questions about the new adventure game. Besides the usual questions about the game’s development and current popularity, Matt also answered some pertinent questions about the franchise’s future.
Namely, Matt commented on whether a physical version of both Blaster Master Zero games could happen in the future:
Q: While a physical release wasn’t on the cards for the first game, now that you have two Blaster Master Zero games on Switch, is there any chance you can see yourselves releasing a collection that packages the two games together?
Matt Papa: It’s certainly possible! We just worked with Limited Run Games to release Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon physically, so we’ll see what happens in the future!
Additionally, he addressed the interest for another sequel in the series – a hypothetical ‘Blaster Master Zero 3’:
Q: Provided Blaster Master Zero 2 can reach the same success as the previous title, can fans of this revival hope for a third instalment?
Matt Papa: I certainly hope so, but it’s definitely too early to confirm anything one way or another.
While Matt’s answers were most non-committal, at least the future of the Blaster Master Zero series looks promising for now! We’ll report back whenever Inti Creates sets Jason up for his next mutant-blasting adventure.
