The Pokemon Company and government of Kochi prefecture in Japan have announced the region’s first official Pokemon ambassador.
Starting today, the popular Pokemon Quagsire will be Kochi’s official Pokemon ambassador as part of the brand’s Pokemon Local Acts project. According to the official English site for the project, Quagsire was chosen due to the Kochi prefecture’s lush forests and crystal clear streams and lakes, where Quagsire could easily be spotted swimming.
This new collaboration will feature stamp rallys, local goods, as well as Pokelid manhole covers featuring Quagsire. You can find out more in the official press release here.
