Japanese users on the Internet have been reporting a serious issue with their Super Famicom Classic Mini pre-orders placed with Amazon Japan.
According to reports, the Super Famicom Classic Mini pre-orders some users have placed were never delivered. Instead, tracking information shows that the product was returned to Amazon and canceled.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that an error corrupted the name and address printed on these packages, thus making them unreadable.
We’ve also discovered that some users who pre-ordered the system from Amazon Japan overseas encountered similar issues. It’s now clear that both issues encountered in and outside of Japan are linked to the same problem.
As of the time of writing, Amazon Japan has not found a solution to send the Super Famicom Classic Mini back to customers affected by the issue. We’ll keep you posted of any developments.
