Japan: Nintendo Switch Exceeds 4.5 Million Consoles Sold

Sales tracker Famitsu has announced Nintendo Switch has sold 4.5 million systems on its 70th week in Japan since its launch in March 2017.

Last week, 46,750 consoles were sold in Japan, pushing the total number of Nintendo Switch hardware sold in Japan to 4,524,037 systems.

Assuming at least 40,000 consoles are sold every week, it’ll take 3 months for total Nintendo Switch sales to surpass 5 million units in Japan.
