Media Create has released last week’s video game sales charts for the Japanese market, pouring nothing but good news for Nintendo.
First up, Yo-Kai Watch Busters 2, an exclusive Nintendo 3DS title, debuted in Japan with 208,540 copies sold. It took the top spot of the video game software charts. Super Mario Odyssey (Switch), Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (3DS), Splatoon 2 (Switch), and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch) led rest of the pack at 133,180, 119,005, 70,489, and 50,679 copies respectively.
Now it’s time for a look at hardware sales. Nintendo Switch continues to sell like hot pancakes with 221,210 consoles sold in Japan last week, showing Nintendo has made good of their promise to flood the Japanese market with nothing but Switch. This is the highest restock shipment the country has ever seen since the March 3 launch.
The Nintendo 3DS family of systems continue to sell strongly, moving a combined total of 55,513 units.
