Media Create has published the latest Japanese video game sales data for the period of November 26 to December 2, 2018.
Last week’s bestselling game was Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee, which managed to move 94,753 units at retail. The strong sales have pushed the game to 918,459 units sold lifetime at retail. We can probably expect that number to exceed one million very soon.
The most notable game that launched last week was Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth for Nintendo 3DS. The game debuted No. 2 on the charts with 79,747 copies sold. This shows there’s still demand for 3DS games as long as they are good. Persona Q2’s performance is better than what Luigi’s Mansion did.
Other new releases for Nintendo Switch include Kamen Rider: Climax Scramble Zio (No. 5, 14465 copies) and Billion Road (No. 17, 4682), which are both published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Last but not least, Nintendo Switch continues to lead hardware sales. The console moved 120,546 units, which is about 78.5% of all video game consoles sold in Japan last week.
