Imagineer and Japanese company asken have published a report on the effectiveness of Fitness Boxing, a fitness game for Nintendo Switch.
Imagineer asked asken to conduct a study on the effectiveness of Fitness Boxing for weight loss. To conduct this study, asken asked users to follow a diet plan through the asken app and play Fitness Boxing on a regular basis for 90 days. On average, they have found that users who followed their diet and workout routine lost 5.5kg in 90 days, from 69.5kg to 64kg:
Asken also conducted surveys on social media asking female players why they recommend Fitness Boxing to others. The top reason is because they don’t have to wear fitness attire to the gym to workout (48%), followed by they could workout without worrying about others staring at them (40%). The third reason is because they could choose to workout at any time they want (33%).
