Asuka Repair Hall, a Youtube channel that specializes in repairing consumer electronics, has put out a shocking video about the Nintendo Switch.
In the video, Asuka uses a thermal monitor to check the temperature surrounding the Nintendo Switch. They spotted “really hot fumes” coming out of the system at 78.4 degree Celsius (about 173 Fahrenheit):
The repair store says that in order to prevent this incident from happening, users should regularly clean the console’s Joy-Con rails regularly with a dried toothbrush or by “blowing out” particles that could be stuck within the rails. Users who feel “very strange temperatures” while holding onto the system should get their console repaired immediately as well.
