Japanese Singer Gen Hoshino Praises Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle

Gen Hoshino, an extremely famous Japanese singer, songwriter, lyricist, actor, and voice actor, shared what he’s been playing on Nintendo Switch recently.

The talented singer told Real Sound Japan that every time he purchases a new game, he often stops halfway, never getting the chance to complete it due to a tight schedule. However he’s been extremely enthusiastically playing one title – Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle for Nintendo Switch.

“Although it’s Mario, (Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle) is a turn based strategy game”, Hoshino explained. “It feels like a game which Mario fans overseas will play a lot. What the characters say in the game are something which you don’t really see in a Mario game. The cutscenes are beautiful and (the game has) a really good sense of humor.”

This isn’t the first time Hoshino professed his love for Nintendo video games. The singer was fervent about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild last year during the commentary of Music Video Tour 2010-2017, and has also praised the quality of Nintendo products. He’s really into Virtual Boy too.
