It looks like a beloved gaming mascot from the 2000s is making his way back on modern systems!
Tate Multimedia, creators of the Kao the Kangaroo series of games that began on the Dreamcast, have revealed that an all new game simply titled “Kao the Kangaroo” will be hitting Nintendo Switch and other major platforms in Summer 2022. This new iteration of the franchise will see Kao return with magical punching gloves, a whole new world to explore, and more!

Kao – pronounced K-O – will be familiar to any fans of 3D platformers in the early noughties, having made his debut on SEGA’s legendary Dreamcast back in the year 2000. Now, two decades on, Kao is back in business and about to embark on his biggest adventure yet, setting out to find his missing sister and solve the mystery of what happened to his long-lost father.
