Keita Takahashi, the creator of the Katamari Damacy franchise, has just shared his thoughts on Nintendo Switch and the games offered on it.
Unlike other game developers who’ve heaped praises on Breath of the Wild, Takahashi disliked the game for the gap between its story and system.
Besides Breath of the Wild, Takahashi picked up a copy of Super Mario Odyssey, which he was very excited for. But upon completing Super Mario Odyssey, he never turned on his Switch again.
“(Zelda: BotW) It’s not fun for me. (The) gap between story and the system…that bothered me, then I stopped playing. Then Mario, I was so excited about the new Mario but after I finished Mario, I just turned off the Switch, I have never turned [it] back on.”
Let’s hope Takahashi will turn on his Switch again when Katamari Damacy Reroll rolls onto it later this year.
