Nintendo has filed a new trademark for Kirby in Japan, which has been successfully approved by the Japanese patent office.
The new trademark covers merchandise such as clothes, consumable goods, accessories, and even events. This is a logical move as there has been an increasing number of Kirby products released in Japan in the last few years. Kirby is also getting more popular with services such as Kirby Cafe.
