Latest Update Renders Pokemon GO Unplayable For Some Trainers

Today, The Pokemon Company and Niantic released a new update for Pokemon GO, and it seems there’s something very wrong with it.

According to reports, some trainers have encountered an error informing them their device is incompatible with Pokemon GO. This happens after installing the latest update.

In reality, there is nothing wrong with their devices and Niantic did not discontinue support for any devices as of February 2019. Niantic confirms this is an error and they are now working on fixing it:

We’ve received reports that the latest update to Pokémon GO is causing some Trainers to receive an error indicating that their device is incompatible. We are working on addressing it. Thanks for your patience.
