LEGO Teases NES-Related Announcement, Following Leaked Building Set Photos

Earlier today, several leaked photos seemingly revealed LEGO and Nintendo’s plans to release an official LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) set. While we could only speculate if the leak was legitimate at the time – it looks like LEGO has further fueled such rumors to untold heights!

Just a few hours ago, LEGO shared the following animated clip below – which shows some sort of television and device in complete darkness. Along with this, they shared a cryptic message about playing ‘like never before’…

At first glance, this could be teasing any kind of LEGO set that looks like a retro gaming console. Upon adjusting the brightness and contrast of the image, however – longtime Nintendo fans may notice something very familiar in front of that television:

While blurry, you can definitely see the rough grooves and outline of an NES console and a wired NES controller! Additionally, the television has a single antenna and dial – much like the one in the reportedly leaked LEGO set images from earlier today.

As with all unconfirmed information, however – we urge readers to wait until LEGO or Nintendo make an official announcement regarding this teaser. We’ll report back whenever we hear more in the future!
