YO-KAI Watch developer Level-5 has fully acquired Mighty No. 9 developer Comcept.
According to a translated Famitsu article, Comcept is now a subsidiary of Level-5, now known as Level-5 Comcept. Comcept’s Inafune describes the company as a combination of Level-5 and Comcept’s philosophies.
Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino will be involved in working with the subsidiary on making games together. The subsidiary currently consists of 15 staff members, most who previously worked at Comcept.
The first title coming from Level-5 Comcept is Dragon Colonies, coming to iOS and Android in 2018 in Japan.
