The latest development blog update for Inazuma Eleven Ares has been translated online, revealing more behind the scenes details about the game’s development.
The blog post was written by Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino, and discusses the decision to skip showing off Inazuma Eleven Ares at World Hobby Fair 2019, as well as more details about the game’s event scenes.

World Hobby Fair Absence
- Inazuma Eleven Ares was meant to be playable at the event, but it did not reach a satisfactory level in various area
- The team did not have enough time to fully incorporate some new elements that were not found in the previous playable demo
- It would not have made sense to have players try out the exact same demo
- Development is still going on, with the team currently brushing up the game
Event Scenes
- The game’s story begins in Inakunijima, focusing on the members of the football club
- While the expression of the characters is pretty important, so is the atmosphere of the game world
- The team paid particular attention to lighting, but also the various textures
- The team wanted to render the rural aspect of Inakunijima
- One event scene takes place between Inakuni Raimon and Seishou Gakuen
- The focus is on the direction (camera angles, etc.) and the dialogue in order to fully represent this heated confrontation
Other Updates
- The team is also hard at work on the matches and training parts of the game
- The goal is to offer something that all players will be satisfied with
- Level-5 is making preparations for other Inazuma Eleven projects, though it’s not clear what exactly at the moment
