I apologise if you were expecting buildings or rides to take at least a little bit of shape, but if it is any consolation, work is definitely in order.
In a recent visit to Universal Studios Japan, Youtuber Yukendoit snuck a look at the construction progress of Super Nintendo World in Japan. The area, which used to be a parking lot, is as good as cleared up for the construction of the rides. Given that less than half a year has passed since groundbreaking, I would imagine that this is some progress, but I’m not a civil engineer so I can’t tell for sure.
In any case, the park is still expected to open before the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, so that should be enough time for them to turn the ground into something magical.
