Mario Kart Tour May Be Shut Down In September 2026

In 2023, Nintendo announced they would be halting development of Mario Kart Tour, with the game running on re-run events for the majority of the time since then.

Unfortunately, it seems that Nintendo may have finally decided to pull the plug on the game entirely. Dataminers have reportedly discovered several assets talking about the “End Of Service” for the game, dated for September 30th 2026. The assets go into detail about what events will be running until the end of service, the end of paid currency sales, as well as a special MKT Report that will look back on everything that has happened since the game’s launch.

At the time of this writing, Nintendo has yet to officially announce an end of service for Mario Kart Tour. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
