UPDATE: Looks like it’s true! Apparently you need a Switch which hasn’t connected to the Internet before for this to work (it will check the network time if you change the system date to July 11). Otherwise, you’ll have to wait next July 11 to try it out yourself.
A few days ago, hackers from SwitchBrew discovered the existence of a working copy of NES Golf that is hidden on every Nintendo Switch in the world.
The same hacker who found NES Golf, Plutoo, has published what he claims are instructions to trigger the game on the Switch, which he found by disassembling the binary.
According to Plutoo, the system date must first be set to July 11, the day which Satoru Iwata passed away 2 years ago. It’s unclear whether the year needs to be set to 2015. Next, a Joy-Con motion has to be performed for 1.5 seconds. Again it’s unclear what kind of motion it is, but Plutoo speculates it could be a golf swing.
Now it’s important to note that Plutoo himself has not been able to activate NES Golf through these instructions, as he’s unsure which screen or area the Switch has to be on. If you’re able to figure it out, do let us know!

;_____; This is amazing yet sad ;_______;
Yea... if it turns out to be true, I wonder why they chose Iwata's passing rather than anything else.
It's like touching and it brings me endless joy.....yet I feel so sad cause he is gone....it is truly beautiful this find, I hope someone figures it out!!
