Nintendo has published their latest earnings report for the nine months ending 31 December 2021, revealing some updated sales numbers for their software. Amongst these figures, Nintendo shared that Metroid Dread has sold 2.74 million copies globally as of 31 December 2021.
This makes the new game the second bestselling title in the entire Metroid franchise to date. For comparison, the lifetime sales figure of Metroid Prime (the bestselling Metroid game to date) is estimated to be around 2.84 million units so far.
