Mojang has revealed the next major update heading to Minecraft next year.
The update is called “Caves & Cliffs” and will feature an overhaul to Minecraft‘s cave systems. This includes improved cave generation, new mobs, new areas, and new items. It is scheduled to launch sometime in Summer 2021 “for all platforms”.

- New cave types and better looking cliffs
- Buried ruins
- Stalactites and Stalagmites which can damage the player
- New Materials: Copper Ore, Crystal Geodes
- New Mobs: Warden, Axolotl, Goats
