During the recent Minecraft Live 2020 event, Mojang confirmed that the game would be updated with cross-play between Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, xCloud, and Xbox One in November 2020. You can check out a live demonstration of the feature below (starts at 1:09:59):
