USGamer recently received the opportunity to interview Monolith Soft President Tetsuya Takahashi to discuss a wide range of topics.
One of the topics discussed was Xenoblade Chronicles X, previously released for Wii U. Many gamers hope to see the game ported to Nintendo Switch some day, and even Takahashi expressed interest to do so in the past.
Unfortunately while Takahashi wants to play the game on Switch just like anyone else, he said it would be too difficult to recreate it for the system, so it’s unlikely we will see it happening for now.
Takahashi also revealed the most popular Xenoblade Chronicles 2 character in Japan is none other than Pyra, but it’s not known who is the most popular in the west. Takahashi added that the blade and crystal system was designed to encourage users to share their results on social media.
We’ve also learned that Takahashi aimed to make the battle system in Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country more accessible to players who have never played the main game, and he believes Torna – The Golden Country is a fairly optimized experience in terms of frame rate and other performance.
